Hi, I am Julie Thanner...

...the girl behind the camera at Julie Thanner Photography. I'm a mom to three young children, a former teacher, and a St Louis-based photographer specializing in children and family portraits. I welcome clients from all over St Louis, focusing in the West County areas of Chesterfield, Ballwin, Ellisville and Town & Country.

As a parent, I know how difficult it can be to step back and appreciate the beauty of of life as we experience it day in and day out, but I also know how our children seem to grow and change quickly and often imperceptibly. Observing this very phenomenon in my own family is what inspired me to pick up my camera in the first place - the desire to freeze time and capture moments before they're gone. From newborns, and babies, to children and teens, to the entire family, I would be honored to help you document your memories, milestones and moments.
