Before your session...

Clients often ask what they need to do to prepare for a session. I understand! A photography session is an investment of your time and money, and the images will last a lifetime. So, I've put together a short list of my top three recommendations:

Choose clothing that you love and feel good in. Ideally, everyone will be looking their best, but it's most important to look and feel like yourself! It's great if outfits are coordinated - or at least don't clash - but there is no need for everyone to match. It's more important to wear clothes that feel flattering to you and are a reflection of who you are. I don't recommend neon colors or clothes with big logos, but clothing with some texture or movement can look great in photographs.

Think about the "little things"...all the little items we carry with us daily that we don't even "see" can be distracting in a photograph. It helps to remove phones, keys, hairbands on wrists, fitness trackers and the like before a session.

Last but definitely not least, relax and enjoy yourself. The session will become a memory in and of itself. Come happy and ready to have fun with the people you love, and it will be reflected in your photographs!
